Oldboy

Oldboy (2013) is Spike Lee's brutal revenge thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Hard-drinking ad man Joe Doucett vanishes off the street one rainy night and comes to in a windowless room he cannot leave.

For two decades he stays shut inside, fed and watered but told nothing — not who put him there, not why. A television set frames him for his wife's murder while he can only watch. Then, as suddenly as he was taken, the door opens. Joe (Josh Brolin) hunts the man who caged him, only to find his captor waiting, eager to turn the chase into a game of riddles. Along the way he meets a young nurse, Marie (Elizabeth Olsen), and a soft-spoken stranger (Sharlto Copley) who seems to hold the answers.

Lee reworks Park Chan-wook's cult Korean drama, itself drawn from a Japanese manga, and drops the nightmare onto American streets. Samuel L.
