Resolution

Resolution (2013) is an indie horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Michael drives out to a remote cabin near San Diego, handcuffs his estranged junkie friend to a pipe, and decides to force him through a week of cold-turkey sobriety.

Then things get strange. Reels of film, photos and recordings start turning up around the property — footage that should not exist. Something unseen is narrating the two men's story back to them, and it clearly already knows how it ends. Addiction turns out to be the smaller threat here. Peter Cilella and Vinny Curran carry the whole thing as two guys watching their time run out.

This was the directing debut of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the same duo behind The Endless and Synchronic. The film toys with the very idea of plot and ending, so patient fans of a slow, creeping dread will get the most out of it. Stream Resolution (2013) online on iFILM.
