Synopsis
The Brass Teapot (2012) is a dark comedy with a fantasy hook that you can watch online on iFILM. A broke young couple stumbles onto an antique brass teapot with one unsettling quirk: it spits out cash every time its owners hurt themselves.
Alice and John are jobless and buried in debt, so the find looks like a lifeline. At first a few pinches and bruises do the trick. The teapot keeps raising the stakes, though — the worse the pain, the fatter the payout — and the pair start crossing one line after another. Other people want the relic too, and they're not gentle about it. Juno Temple and Michael Angarano play the leads.
Director Ramaa Mosley shapes it as a parable about greed wrapped in light genre packaging: funny, absurd and quietly uncomfortable all at once. It'll click with anyone who likes scrappy low-budget comedies with a nasty streak and doesn't mind humor that leaves a bitter aftertaste. Stream The Brass Teapot online on iFILM.
