I Spy

I Spy (2002) is a buddy spy-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, with Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson trading insults across two continents. Someone has just stolen a prototype stealth fighter from the U.S. government, and Washington wants it back fast.

Wilson plays Alex Scott, a by-the-book agent saddled with the last partner he'd ever pick: loudmouth boxing champion Kelly Robinson, played by Murphy, who's convinced he can do the job better than any trained operative. The trail leads to arms dealer Arnold Gundars (Malcolm McDowell), with a title fight in Budapest as their cover story. For most of the runtime the two bicker over who's in charge; eventually they have to save each other's necks.

Directed by Betty Thomas, the movie lives or dies on the Murphy-Wilson back-and-forth, and if that pairing clicks for you the ninety-odd minutes go down easy. Pure undemanding fun. Stream I Spy (2002) online on iFILM.
