Synopsis
Ong Bak 2 (2008) is a Thai martial-arts epic starring Tony Jaa, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Forget the modern Bangkok of the first film — this one drops you into 15th-century Siam. It isn't really a sequel but a standalone origin legend about revenge forged out of slaughter and brutal training.
Tien is the son of a nobleman whose entire household is wiped out on a usurper's order. The boy barely survives and is taken in by the Pha Beek Krut bandits, whose leader Chernang raises him as his own and teaches him everything. Tien soaks up dozens of fighting disciplines — Muay Boran, the Thai sword, Indian and Chinese forms, even combat on elephant-back — and grows up fixed on one purpose: return and destroy the tyrant Rajasena. Jaa doesn't just star; he stepped into the director's chair alongside Panna Rittikrai.
What carries the film is the choreography. No CGI, no wires — just real stunts, real impact, and weapons drilled to the millimeter. The plot is thin, but as pure violent dance it's close to hypnotic. Essential for fans of Asian fight cinema and anyone who loves the bone-hard style of The Raid. Stream Ong Bak 2 (2008) online on iFILM.
