Synopsis
Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man (2012) is the Marvel animated series you can watch online on iFILM. It's a family adventure show about a young Peter Parker still figuring out what being a hero actually means.
Peter has enough practice to swing across New York, but he's nowhere near the real deal yet — and Nick Fury knows it. The head of S.H.I.E.L.D. pulls him in for proper training and pairs him with a squad of other super-powered teens: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Nova and White Tiger. Together they learn to fight as a unit, trade blows with Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin and Venom, and sort out who's a teammate and who wants to run the show.
The series leans hard on breaking the fourth wall: Spidey keeps turning to the camera with quick cutaway gags, which keeps the tone loose and funny. Drake Bell voices the lead, and J.K. Simmons growls his way through J. Jonah Jameson — the same voice fans know from the films.
