After her husband's death, Norma buys a rundown motel outside the fictional coastal town of White Pine Bay, Oregon, and moves in with sixteen-year-old Norman. She wants a fresh start; Norman wants to stay close to his mother — and that need is the slow engine behind everything that follows. The town turns out to have its own buried secrets, and Sheriff Alex Romero, played by Nestor Carbonell, keeps a close eye on the newcomers from day one. Five seasons, 50 episodes, concluded in 2017.
