Synopsis
IT: Welcome to Derry (2025) is a Stephen King prequel series you can watch online on iFILM. Director Andy Muschietti — who made both IT chapters in 2017 and 2019 — goes back sixty years before the Losers' Club, to a 1962 version of Derry, Maine, where the same ancient evil is already at work.
Leroy Hanlon (Jovan Adepo), a US Army soldier, arrives in town with his wife and son Will, assigned to a classified operation at a nearby base. His colleagues are unwelcoming. Around the same time, children start disappearing from Derry's streets. Will falls in with a group of local kids — played by Matilda Lawler and Amanda Christine among others — who begin piecing together what's happening while the adults look away or actively avoid asking questions.
The series digs into the mythology that King built around Pennywise and Derry itself, showing the town's long history of turning a blind eye to what lives underneath it. Stream IT: Welcome to Derry online on iFILM.
