Synopsis

Jekyll (2007), Season 1 is a BBC crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes that pick up Stevenson's tale in the present day, where Dr Tom Jackman, the last descendant of the Jekyll line, feels the beast inside him waking again.

To keep his wife and children safe, Tom moves out and tries to cage Hyde with whatever he has: a dictaphone, handcuffs, anonymous hotel rooms. The wall between the two halves only gets thinner. Claire hires a private detective and edges toward the truth about her husband, while a deep-pocketed organisation hunts them both — it wants Hyde alive for reasons of its own. One episode steps back to Edinburgh, 1886, to Robert Louis Stevenson himself, tying the old story to the new one.

Written by Steven Moffat, the season carries his taste for sharp dialogue and turns you don't see coming. James Nesbitt plays both sides so well that the switch lands harder than any makeup could. Stream Jekyll Season 1 online on iFILM.
