Synopsis
Shooter (2016–2018) is a USA Network action thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Bob Lee Swagger, a retired Marine sniper living off-grid in the mountains, gets pulled back in when former colleagues warn him of a plot to assassinate the president — and they want the best marksman alive to help stop it.
Ryan Phillippe carries the show as Swagger. He signs on to protect a target and only afterward realizes he was recruited to be the fall guy: the shot is fired, the president goes down, and the blame lands squarely on Bob. From there he's a fugitive running two ways at once, dodging the FBI while hunting the people who framed him. Around him are his wife Julie, FBI analyst Nadine Memphis (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), and an old Army brother played by Omar Epps. Across three seasons the conspiracy keeps widening into a hidden network inside the agencies themselves.
The series grew out of Stephen Hunter's novel Point of Impact and the 2007 film with Mark Wahlberg, who stayed on as a producer. The real draw is how seriously it treats the craft of long-range shooting — wind, range and patience instead of generic gunplay. Good fit for fans of grounded military-political action.
