Krull

Krull (1983) is Peter Yates' sword-and-spaceship fantasy adventure, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The planet Krull, a realm of castles and broadswords, is invaded by the Beast, an alien conqueror who arrives inside a colossal black mountain-fortress. On the very day two warring kingdoms unite by marrying Prince Colwyn to Princess Lyssa, the Beast's slayers crash the wedding and carry the bride away.

Colwyn is left in the rubble with a handful of companions and a single mission: recover the Glaive, a five-pointed throwing blade hidden atop a mountain, then reach the fortress that teleports to a new spot on the planet every sunrise. Along the road he gathers a band of outlaws, a blind seer, a Cyclops who already knows the hour of his own death, and an old wizard with a shape-shifting apprentice. The fortress is guarded by more than soldiers: its troops can take the face of any ally you trust.

Yates blends Star Wars, Excalibur and storybook chivalry, with a soaring score from James Horner a year before Aliens. Watch closely for very young Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane in bit parts.
