Then she reads his poems. Keats agrees to tutor her, and the lessons turn into a fragile, mostly unspoken love affair. The trouble is money: a poet with empty pockets cannot marry. Abbie Cornish gives Fanny real stubbornness and fire, while Ben Whishaw plays Keats as a man whose body is quietly failing him to consumption. Paul Schneider hovers nearby as the friend who resents the whole thing.
