Synopsis
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) is a detective action film directed by Guy Ritchie that you can watch online on iFILM — a sequel to his 2009 adaptation with Robert Downey Jr. returning as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson.
The story is set in 1891. A string of bombings rattles Vienna and Strasbourg, each one blamed on anarchists. Holmes sees a single hand behind all of it: Professor James Moriarty, a mathematics genius who quietly controls an arms empire and is engineering a European war to cash in on the chaos. Watson, meanwhile, is getting married. Holmes drags him from the wedding train into a chase across the continent, picking up Noomi Rapace as the gypsy fortune-teller Sim along the way. Stephen Fry appears as Mycroft Holmes — every bit as odd as his brother, and considerably less dressed.
Jared Harris plays Moriarty as a man who never raises his voice and never needs to, making him the most unsettling villain in the franchise.
