Synopsis
The Messengers (2015) is a supernatural CW series you can watch online on iFILM. A strange object slams into the Earth, an energy pulse kills five strangers — and seconds later jolts them back to life.
They wake up changed. Each carries a new gift, and together they are meant to hold off a coming Apocalypse. Standing against them is a charming drifter who turns out to be the Devil himself, played by Diogo Morgado. The chosen few — a doctor, a single mother, a con-man preacher, a runaway teen — are carried by Shantel VanSanten, Sofia Black-D'Elia, Joel Courtney and JD Pardo.
The show folds biblical end-times lore into glossy CW adventure. It lasted a single season of thirteen episodes before the network pulled the plug, so the resolution arrives in a hurry.
