Synopsis
The Mother of Tears (La terza madre, 2007) is Dario Argento's horror finale you can watch online on iFILM. When art restorer Sarah Mandy pries open an ancient urn dug up near Rome, she wakes the last and cruelest of three witches who have spread terror for centuries.
The city tips into chaos: robberies, suicides and senseless killings spike overnight, while sinister young women drift in from every corner of the world to serve the risen Mater Lacrimarum. Sarah's friend is torn apart by the witch's demons, and Sarah barely escapes, soon discovering she carries powers of her own. Asia Argento takes the lead, with Udo Kier and Daria Nicolodi, the actress's mother and a longtime Argento collaborator, in supporting roles.
This closes the Three Mothers trilogy that began with Suspiria and Inferno, trading their dreamlike restraint for raw, blood-soaked excess. It is strictly for fans of old-school Italian horror who can stomach full-on grindhouse gore. Stream The Mother of Tears (2007) online on iFILM.
