The Legacy of the Bones

The Legacy of the Bones (Legado en los huesos, 2019) is a Spanish mystery thriller from Fernando González Molina that you can watch online on iFILM. It is the second entry in the Baztán Trilogy, adapted from Dolores Redondo's bestselling novels and following The Invisible Guardian. The misty valley of northern Navarre returns, and so does Inspector Amaia Salazar, played by Marta Etura.

This time Amaia is heavily pregnant, yet she refuses to step back. Jasón Medina, on trial for a horrific killing, turns up dead just before the verdict, an apparent suicide with a single baffling word scrawled nearby: Tarttalo. Soon a string of strange suicides ripples through the region, each one echoing the same dark pattern. The closer she gets, the more her own buried family history bleeds into the case. Leonardo Sbaraglia co-stars as Judge Markina.
