Synopsis
Nancy Drew (2007) is a family mystery with Emma Roberts you can watch online on iFILM. The teenage sleuth from a quiet town moves to Los Angeles with her lawyer father and rents a house where a movie star once died under circumstances no one ever explained.
Nancy has promised her dad she'll lay off the detective work and just be a normal high-schooler for a while. It doesn't take. The old mansion is stuffed with secrets, and an unsolved death is more than she can leave alone. With her trusty flashlight, prim cardigans and flawless manners, she sticks out like a sore thumb among the California kids, then proceeds to crack a case the police gave up on. Along for the ride are loyal friend Ned (Max Thieriot) and a pushy younger tagalong named Corky.
Andrew Fleming directs, adapting Carolyn Keene's long-running book series that several generations grew up reading. It's a deliberately old-fashioned, gentle whodunit with no blood and no scares, built around a charming perfectionist heroine and a brief Bruce Willis cameo.
