Synopsis
Breach (2007) is Billy Ray's espionage thriller you can watch online on iFILM, drawn from the true account of how the FBI cornered the most damaging mole it ever harbored. Young operative Eric O'Neill (Ryan Phillippe) is assigned as a clerk to grizzled veteran Robert Hanssen (Chris Cooper), a posting dressed up as a promotion but really a trap.
O'Neill's real job is to win Hanssen's trust and gather proof that the devout, caustic, control-obsessed older agent has been feeding secrets to Moscow for years. The closer he gets, the thinner the margin: Hanssen is sharp, suspicious, and frighteningly good at reading people, and one slip could be fatal. The tension comes from talk, not gunfire, as two men share an office while each quietly measures the other.
Cooper plays a real agent who was arrested early in 2001 after spying for Soviet and later Russian intelligence across more than two decades, and his coiled, venomous performance carries the whole picture. This one's for viewers who like their spycraft cerebral rather than explosive: it bets everything on psychology and the slow tightening of a noose. Stream Breach (2007) online on iFILM.
