JFK

JFK (1991) is Oliver Stone's three-hour political thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Kevin Costner plays New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison, who spends the late 1960s pulling at loose threads in the official story of what happened on that Dallas afternoon in November 1963.

Garrison's trail runs through local businessman Clay Shaw (Tommy Lee Jones), a cast of informants and ex-operatives, and a string of witnesses who keep turning up dead. Stone cuts between staged reconstructions and archival footage to build the case piece by piece — less a courtroom drama than a procedural argument. Gary Oldman plays Lee Harvey Oswald; Joe Pesci, Kevin Bacon, Donald Sutherland, Sissy Spacek, Jack Lemmon, John Candy, and Walter Matthau round out the ensemble.
