Synopsis
One Piece: Stampede (2019) is Takashi Otsuka's anime action spectacle, free to watch online on iFILM. Released for the franchise's 20th anniversary, it was built by pirates, for pirates: Buena Festa's Pirate Festival pulls nearly every famous crew on the Grand Line into one place at once.
The hook is a wild race for treasure left behind by Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King himself. Luffy and the Straw Hats charge into the scramble, but the festival is a trap. An old member of Roger's crew has a deadly score to settle, and his grudge threatens to bury everyone on the island. Law, Smoker, Bartolomeo and dozens of faces from two decades of the series all crash into the same frame.
This is fan service cranked to the limit: cameos pile up nonstop, and the climactic brawl swells into a full-blown catastrophe. Plot isn't the point here. The movie plays like a giant party for anyone who's followed the crew through arc after arc. Newcomers will miss half the references, but longtime viewers will be off the couch.
