Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018) is a Japanese animated action film you can watch online on iFILM. After the Tournament of Power, Earth is calm, but Goku keeps training to climb higher. Then he and Vegeta run into a Saiyan they have never met before — a hulking fighter named Broly.

How is he even alive, when Planet Vegeta was destroyed and the Saiyans were nearly wiped out? The movie reaches back to the race's beginnings: the old king's jealousy, a child cast away to a savage world, and a grudge that has been building for decades. Three Saiyans whose fates split long ago collide in battle, and Frieza — fresh out of Hell — barges into the fight too.

Series creator Akira Toriyama wrote the script, with Tatsuya Nagamine directing. The fight animation here feels different: hand-drawn, fluid, every punch landing with real weight.
