Synopsis
Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970) is Don Siegel's western, ready to watch online on iFILM. Clint Eastwood plays Hogan, a laconic mercenary, and Shirley MacLaine is Sister Sara, a nun he saves from a pack of rogues out on the Mexican plains.
From there the mismatched pair trudges across the heat toward a single target: a French garrison that local revolutionaries are itching to storm. Hogan couldn't care less about Mexico's freedom; what hooks him is a rumor of buried gold. Sara, meanwhile, shoots straight, drinks whiskey and swears in ways no nun should. Eastwood squints and grumbles his way through ambushes and a dynamited troop train, a spark slowly catches between them, and Sara is hiding a secret that recasts everything once it lands.
Shot on location in Mexico with a springy Ennio Morricone score and Siegel's lean, hard-nosed direction — the same team that would soon make Dirty Harry. It's a wry, easygoing western carried by the chemistry of its two leads, ideal for anyone who likes the genre with a sense of humor as well as gunfire.
