Synopsis
National Treasure (2004) is a Walt Disney Pictures action-adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Jon Turteltaub and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film had a $100 million budget and grossed nearly $350 million worldwide.
Ben Gates has spent his whole life chasing a legend his grandfather planted in his head as a child: a fortune amassed by the Founding Fathers — Washington, Jefferson, Franklin — during the Revolutionary War, its location hidden in a cipher printed on the back of the Declaration of Independence. When his partner Ian Howe decides to steal the document and cut Ben out, Gates has no choice but to steal it first. Nicolas Cage plays Gates, a driven amateur historian who keeps getting himself into deeper trouble; Diane Kruger plays the National Archives curator pulled into the chase, Justin Bartha provides the tech, and Sean Bean, Jon Voight, Harvey Keitel, and Christopher Plummer round out a cast that takes the whole thing seriously enough to keep it moving.
The film runs 131 minutes and rarely stops to breathe — archive corridors, Philadelphia streets, underground tunnels beneath New York. It blends American founding mythology with a popcorn treasure hunt and doesn't pretend otherwise. Stream National Treasure (2004) in full online on iFILM.
