Loser

Loser (2000) is Amy Heckerling's coming-of-age comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Paul, a decent kid from the Midwest, arrives at a New York university on scholarship and gets branded an outsider almost overnight.

He dresses wrong, freezes around girls, and can't keep up with his three obnoxious roommates, who make a sport of humiliating him. The one person who gets him is Dora, another loner scraping by with no money and nowhere steady to live. Complication: she's seeing a smug professor who treats her like an option. Jason Biggs and Mena Suvari lead, with Greg Kinnear and Dan Aykroyd in support.

Heckerling, who made Clueless, returns to her favorite subject — a young person who doesn't fit the room — only gentler and a little sad here.
