Clone High (Season 1)

Clone High (2002) is an animated comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. The premise is gleefully ridiculous, and that's the point: a secret government program dug up the remains of history's greatest figures, grew them into teenage clones, and dumped them all into one high school.

So Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, JFK, Gandhi and the rest become ordinary teens wrestling with crushes, parties, popularity and every other adolescent crisis. Clone-Lincoln pines for Cleopatra while missing the fact that Joan of Arc is quietly in love with him — and that goofy love triangle fuels half the jokes. The voice cast stacks up Will Forte, Nicole Sullivan, Christa Miller and a parade of guest stars from Mandy Moore to Luke Perry.

It was created by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller — later the minds behind The Lego Movie and Into the Spider-Verse — together with Bill Lawrence. The show aired on MTV, lasted a single season, and earned its cult status precisely because of that: the fast, irreverent humor and the spoof of teen melodrama were ahead of their time.
