Season 6

After Rachel's humiliating failure as TV actress, she comes home to Lima to figure out what she wants to do next. Upon discovering that Sue has banished the arts at McKinley, Rachel takes it upon herself to reinstate and lead the Glee Club. Meanwhile, Blaine, no longer in a relationship with Kurt, has moved home to coach the Warblers while Will is coaching rival Vocal Adrenaline, and Sam is the assistant coach for the McKinley football team.

Puck, Quinn, Santana, Mercedes, Brittany, Artie and Tina all return to McKinley for Homecoming and help Rachel and Kurt recruit for the new glee club.

Rachel and Kurt struggle as they try to rebuild and co-direct the glee club at McKinley. Meanwhile, Sue is concerned when Becky brings her new boyfriend to town.

Rachel hopes to form a deal in which Will's glee club purposefully under-performs at their invitational; Sue wants Sam to distract Rachel.

Rachel and Kurt redouble their efforts to recruit new members to New Directions after new rules are announced for the Show Choir Invitational. Sue enacts an elaborate plan to try reunite Kurt and Blaine. Will and Rachel have a much needed heart-to-heart.

Brittany and Santana plan their wedding. The Gleeks weekly assignment is the music of Burt Bacharach, and reigning diva Mercedes is recruited to act as a mentor for the new singers. Brittany learns a shocking family secret.

A new job forces Will to take a hard look at the choices he’s made. Rachel must come to terms with the fact her family home has finally been sold. Coach Beiste, returns to McKinley and the romantic tension that has been brewing between Sam and Rachel finally boils over.

The members of New Directions are busy at work planning, planning and planning, while Sue encourages everyone to follow their hearts.

The members of New Directions must come together to prepare for their first public performance at a high-strung tween's bar mitzvah.

Dalton Academy burns to the ground, and the Warblers must combine with the New Directions to form a super group. Meanwhile, Rachel begs Carmen Tibideaux to let her return to NYADA.

New Directions and the Warblers go head-to-head at sectionals. Meanwhile, Rachel must choose between returning to NYADA and doing another Broadway show with her past love, Jesse St. James.

GLEE goes back in time to see why the original members of New Directions signed up for glee club in the first place.

All of Will's hard work and dedication to the Glee Club and to fostering the talents and dreams of his students pays off in a major way, and everyone shares in the feeling of joy that permeates the school as teachers and students reflect on their shared journey. Old rifts and wounds are healed and new sights are set on a promising future. Everyone seems to be ending up exactly as expected and right where they belong... along with more than a few unexpected surprises.
