The Continental: From the World of John Wick (Season 1)

The Continental: From the World of John Wick (2023) is a crime-action miniseries you can watch online on iFILM, a prequel that rewinds the franchise to 1970s New York. At its center is a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell), hauled back into a criminal world he thought he had escaped for good.

The assassins' hotel isn't his yet. It's ruled with an iron grip by Cormac (Mel Gibson), who blackmails Winston into returning to the city. To take the Continental's throne, Winston has to assemble his own crew, settle old business with his brother, and outmaneuver killers who shoot first and rarely bother to explain. Directed by Albert Hughes and Charlotte Brändström, the series leans hard on a period soundtrack, a grimy pre-Giuliani Manhattan, and gunplay choreographed in the original films' style. It's a good fit for anyone chasing the Wick action, but go in knowing Keanu Reeves never appears; the bet here is on backstory and seventies texture instead.
