Synopsis
Woody Woodpecker (2017) is a live-action family comedy with an animated bird, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The famous red-headed troublemaker with the maniacal laugh is happy in his forest, right up until uninvited guests roll into his clearing.
A vain big-city lawyer named Lance plans to clear the trees and put up a luxury house to flip for profit. To Woody, that's a declaration of war. The bird buries the newcomers under an avalanche of traps, pratfalls, and petty sabotage, while slowly warming up to Lance's son, a lonely kid lost in his father's new life.
Directed by Alex Zamm, a regular hand at direct-to-video family fare, the movie hands Woody's voice to veteran cartoon actor Eric Bauza. The humor is simple and physical, channeling the old Walter Lantz shorts and stretching that energy to feature length.
