Annie (1982) is John Huston's big-screen musical you can watch online on iFILM. A red-haired orphan stuck in Miss Hannigan's grim Depression-era home clings to one belief: her parents left her by mistake and will come back.

Billionaire Oliver Warbucks takes Annie into his mansion to soften his public image, then finds the kid has won him over for real. Albert Finney plays Warbucks, Carol Burnett the gin-soaked Hannigan, and Tim Curry the con man Rooster, scheming to cash in once Warbucks posts a reward for Annie's real folks. Frauds line up at the door.

Adapted from the Broadway hit and the old "Little Orphan Annie" comic strip, the film was an odd assignment for Huston, a director better known for hard-boiled noir like The Maltese Falcon.
