Synopsis

Edward drifts through Singapore, Indochina, Japan — always one city ahead of Molly's telegrams. Gonçalo Waddington plays him as a man fleeing something he cannot name. Crista Alfaiate's Molly quietly becomes the film's centre: her pursuit turns into a journey on her own terms. Gomes weaves real early-20th-century archival footage into the fiction — the seams are deliberate, not a flaw.
