Remember

Remember (2015) is Atom Egoyan's drama-thriller, available to watch online on iFILM. Christopher Plummer stars as Zev, a ninety-year-old widower with dementia who slips out of his care home carrying a letter full of instructions.

The letter lays out a plan for revenge. Zev lived through Auschwitz, and the note tells him to track down the camp guard who sent his family to die. The man has spent decades in North America hiding behind a borrowed German name, and four different men turn up under it. Each morning Zev's illness wipes the slate clean, so he keeps rereading the pages to remember who he is, where he is going, and why there is a pistol in his bag.
