The Plagiarist

The Plagiarist (2025) is a Russian sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Egor is thirty, singing backup for bar patrons at a karaoke place, tired of it. He wants his own song. He wants Yulia. He especially wants to impress her billionaire father. Then a portal shows up in his closet — destination: 1991.

The scheme is clean: borrow a few future hits, record them in the past, come home a star. Roman Evdokimov plays Egor, with Stasya Miloslavskaya and Irina Pegova in the cast. Each trip back scrambles something unexpected, and the choices he ends up making have nothing to do with the original plan.
