Synopsis
Cover Girl (1944) pairs Rita Hayworth and Gene Kelly in a Technicolor musical you can watch online on iFILM. Hayworth is Rusty Parker, a Brooklyn nightclub dancer who lands on a magazine cover and, almost overnight, on the road to stardom.
Rusty is in love with Danny McGuire, the choreographer who runs the little club — but he keeps her at arm's length. Winning a national cover-girl contest pulls her toward fame and away from him, and Danny only wakes up once she is nearly gone. Gene Kelly choreographs and dances, with Phil Silvers along for the laughs.
