Synopsis
Neneh Superstar (2023) is a French drama directed by Ramzi Ben Sliman, available to watch online on iFILM. Twelve-year-old Neneh has one ambition: a place at the Paris Opera Ballet School. She earns her audition — and walks straight into hostility she can't explain.
The school's director, Marianne Bellage (Maïwenn), takes an immediate, cold dislike to the girl. Aïssa Maïga plays Neneh's mother. The secret driving Bellage's behaviour turns out to connect the two of them far more closely than either knows. Oumy Bruni Garrel anchors the film with a performance that punches well above her age.
