Abhishek is a freshly graduated engineer who ends up exactly where he never wanted to be: panchayat secretary of a remote village in Uttar Pradesh. No decent phone signal, no familiar faces. His earnest superior Phulera Prasad — played by Raghubir Yadav — genuinely loves the job Abhishek is desperate to escape. Neena Gupta's quietly formidable Manju Devi runs the household and, arguably, the whole village. Every episode hands Abhishek a problem that wasn't in any textbook.
