Professor Biondi hasn't really left his Nevada couch since his wife died. He lives in the desert near Area 51, ostensibly working on a classified government project, but mostly listens to the ambient sound of the universe on headphones. His one real connection to the outside world is his neighbour Stella, who runs alien-themed weddings for tourist UFO-hunters. Then a message arrives from Naples: his brother is dying and his two children need a home — little Tito and his sister land in America.
