Synopsis
Детективы is a Russian crime procedural from 2006 you can watch online on iFILM. A private detective agency takes on the cases that can't go to the police — clients who need evidence found, witnesses tracked down, or quiet answers to questions they can't put in an official complaint.
Each episode runs as a standalone investigation. The detectives head out to crime scenes, work whatever tech they have, and press people until something gives. What the show does well is the ending: the outcome blindsides the client, the investigators, and the viewer in equal measure. Directed across its run by several filmmakers including Roman Ivanov and Yuri Kharnas, the series is grounded in the ordinary frictions of Russian urban life.
