The Road to Calvary (2017) is a Russian period drama series streaming online on iFILM, adapted from Alexei Tolstoy's three-volume novel. Directed by Konstantin Khudyakov, it spans the years from the last fading glamour of pre-war St. Petersburg to the chaos of the Civil War — five years that turned Russia upside down.

Sisters Katya and Dasha Bulavina — Svetlana Khodchenkova and Yulia Snigir — begin the story swept up in the fashionable decadence of 1914. What follows reshapes both of them. The front lines, the revolution, the men around them — Anton Shagin, Yevgeny Tkachuk, Andrei Merzlikin — pull in opposite directions.
