Synopsis
The Big Night (Le Grand Soir, 2012) is a French punk comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Not is the oldest punk in Europe — he loiters outside a shopping mall with his dog, begging shoppers for yogurt and beer. His brother Jean-Pierre sells mattresses in a tie.
When Jean-Pierre loses both his job and his home, the well-behaved conformist cracks. The brothers reconnect and aim their fury at the mall that stands for everything wearing them down. Benoît Poelvoorde and Albert Dupontel play the meltdown with raw, anarchic energy, while Gérard Depardieu and Yolande Moreau turn up along the way.
