Synopsis
Chamatkar (1992) is an Indian comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Rajiv Mehra and starring a young Shah Rukh Khan alongside Naseeruddin Shah.
Sunder Shrivastava is a village schoolteacher trying to build up the school his father left him. A childhood friend arrives from Bombay with a plan for work in Dubai — and vanishes with every rupee Sunder hands over. Broke in a city where he knows no one, Sunder ends up sheltering in a graveyard. That is where he meets the ghost.
The ghost, played by Naseeruddin Shah with considerable charm, turns out to be better company than most of the living characters in the story. Shah Rukh Khan, still two years from Bollywood superstardom, found a good deal of his comic timing here. Urmila Matondkar completes the main trio. Watch Chamatkar (1992) online on iFILM.
