Synopsis

The place greets them split and hostile. A local religious order, the Brotherhood, runs things here, and nobody wants the priests to finish what they came for. A corpse turns up almost at once, and the inquiry into a miracle slides into a murder hunt — the mayor, then Nuno, then the tight-lipped Sisters all fall under suspicion. Salinas is struck by visions, the village's buried history leaks out piece by piece, and the faith of both men is tested far harder than before. What's at stake is no longer the mission but their lives.
