Season 1
Synopsis
King's Game (Ousama Game, 2017), Season 1 — a Japanese survival-horror anime you can watch online on iFILM, twelve episodes of a death game that follows one boy from school to school.
Kanazawa Nobuaki keeps his new classmates at arm's length. He has done this before: at his old school the King's Game wiped out nearly everyone he knew. So when a text from "King" reaches the whole class, the others laugh it off as a prank, and he is the only one who understands the orders are binding and refusal is fatal. The season runs on two timelines — the new game unfolding now, and the older one Nobuaki recounts to the survivors who just watched a classmate die. The commands turn cruel fast: a popularity vote, a lottery of lives, a footrace where finishing last means dawn never comes. Twenty-four hours each. No way out.
Based on Nobuaki Kanazawa's horror novel, with Mamoru Miyano voicing the lead, this is bleak stuff that spares no one — best suited to fans of death-game stories like Alice in Borderland. Stream all 12 episodes of King's Game Season 1 online on iFILM.
