Synopsis
KM 31: Kilometer 31 (2006) is Rigoberto Castañeda's Mexican-Spanish horror film, ready to watch online on iFILM. On an empty highway at night, Agata spots a naked boy in the road, steps out of her car to help — and a passing truck hits her. Her twin Catalina feels the impact miles away, as if the scream went off inside her own skull.
Agata slips into a coma, stranded somewhere between living and dead, while Catalina and two men start digging into what is wrong with the cursed stretch of road by the kilometer 31 sign. The trail leads to an old Mexican legend about a mother who lost her child and has haunted the roadside for a century. Castañeda builds dread through thick, damp atmosphere and La Llorona folklore rather than cheap jump scares. Iliana Fox plays both sisters, and the twin bond runs through the story like an exposed nerve. For fans of Latin American horror that actually unsettles.
