The Boss (El encargado, 2022) is an Argentine comedy-drama series you can watch online on iFILM. At its center sits Eliseo, the superintendent of an upscale Buenos Aires building, played with quiet menace by Guillermo Francella.

On the surface Eliseo is all courtesy — holding doors, carrying bags, nodding at every complaint. Underneath he runs the place like a private kingdom. He reads the residents' mail, hoards their secrets, and nudges neighbors into conflict whenever it keeps his own position safe. Then the building committee floats a plan to build a pool, his job suddenly looks shaky, and his petty scheming hardens into outright war.

Behind the camera are Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn, the duo behind The Distinguished Citizen and Official Competition. Their trademark acid humor takes aim at middle-class hypocrisy, while Francella shapes a manipulator so charming you want to throttle him and rewatch him at once.
