"The European Side" (Avrupa Yakası, 2004) is a Turkish family comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. The patriarch wants nothing to change. His wife quietly negotiates between the old household and the new social landscape. The children have already adapted, which creates its own friction. Gazanfer Özcan, Hümeyra, and Ata Demirer play the generational clash with the kind of timing that doesn't need subtitles to land — the physical comedy does the work. The show became one of the most-quoted Turkish sitcoms of the 2000s.
