Synopsis
Road Games (2015) is a French-British horror thriller from director Abner Pastoll, ready to watch online. A young drifter named Jack is thumbing for rides on an empty back road in rural France.
After he pulls Véronique out of a nasty run-in with an aggressive driver, the two stick together for safety — word is a serial killer has been carving a path through the region. Worn out and hungry, they take an elderly couple up on the offer of a bed for the night at their isolated mansion. Jack speaks no French, so he can't follow what his hosts are quietly arranging all around him.
Pastoll wrings tight, chamber-style suspense from a bare-bones premise: a foreign country, a language you can't read, doors that lock from the wrong side.
