Synopsis
"The Day of the Crows" (Le Jour des Corneilles, 2012) is a French-Belgian animated fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Jean-Christophe Dessaint and based on Jean-François Pouvelle's novel, the film follows a boy raised in total isolation deep in the woods by his rough, silent father. Forest spirits are his only company. He has never seen another person.
That changes the day he stumbles into the nearest village and meets a girl named Manon. She shows him something his father never did: warmth. Back in the forest, the boy starts reading his father differently — somewhere in that hard, wordless man, love must be hiding too. Jean Reno voices the father, Lorànt Deutsch the son.
