Have Mercy on Us All

Someone is painting apartment doors in central Paris with a "4" and the letters "clt." When residents of the marked buildings start dying, Adamsberg and his partner Danglard find that the death pattern matches a plague that last moved through the city three hundred years ago. The investigation becomes something harder to name than a standard homicide case.

Michel Serrault, one of the defining presences in French cinema across five decades, takes a key supporting role — it was among his final major appearances on screen.
