He shares a flat with two women headed in opposite directions: a ballet dancer sliding into addiction, and a waitress putting herself through pharmacy school by stripping. Three people, one cramped apartment, enough ambition for a stadium. Rough around the edges and deliberately abrasive — which is precisely the point.
