Synopsis
Theater Camp (2023) is a mockumentary comedy you can watch online on iFILM, co-directed by Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman. When the beloved founder of a run-down theater camp in upstate New York slips into a coma on the first day of summer, her eccentric staff scrambles to save the season with no money and no plan.
The main obstacle: her son, a clueless crypto-bro played by Jimmy Tatro, who steps in to manage the finances. Ben Platt and Molly Gordon play the fiercely devoted drama teachers keeping everything alive, Ayo Edebiri is the newcomer trying to hold it together, and Amy Sedaris appears as the comatose founder. The film premiered at Sundance 2023 to an enthusiastic crowd.
